Anusara yoga is a professional organization that is united by all its members aligning to a common vision and to a set of ethical guidelines. In many ways, these ethical guidelines are inspired by and intertwine with Anusara yoga’s life-affirming Tantric philosophy. By agreeing to work and play together in this supportive atmosphere, our community grows in a harmonious and cooperative way. The individual behavior of each teacher and member of the community helps to create the peaceful manifestation of the vision of Anusara yoga. Overall, the Anusara yogi seeks to glorify Shri — that which is life-enhancing, beautiful, and auspicious.  The depth of our commitment to this philosophy is evidenced by the fact that most differences within our community are viewed as a vehicle for increasing the appreciation of diversity within our community. Rarely do disagreements within the teaching community require any sort of intervention, but our ethical guidelines and grievance procedures provide a framework for dealing with any ethical issues that may not be immediately resolved.
