Yoga Background  
Darcy Lyon (MA,RYT-500, MFTi) is a Certified Ansuara Instructor and Expressive Arts therapist (intern) who has taught in yoga studios, gyms, eating disorder clinics, women’s shelter and retreat centers for ten years. She leads public classes, workshops, Anusara Immersions, teacher trainings and retreats nationally and internationally, primarily in the San Francisco area and Portland, Oregon.
After many years studying theater and dance, Darcy Lyon fell in love with the grace and intelligence of Anusara Yoga in 1996. Her teaching reflects an exuberant playfulness, passionate love for movement,devotion to the arts and a depth of undersatnding the bridge between eastern and western psychological traditions. She has additional training in working with trauma and how yoga can be used to support healing from multiple forms of trauma. Her book, The Wisdom of Desire unpacks the complex journey of exploring our auspicious desires through the lens of poetry.
Through her company Heartfire Healing Arts(www.HeartfireArts.com) she has nourished transformation and creative healing for 15 years.
