Professional Background
Court reporter by day, yoga instructor at night. From 1997 until 2010, I owned and operated KPR Reporting a court reporting agency in Jackson, Mississippi. I also taught yoga at the Center for Violence Prevention, Butterfly Yoga studio, Reunion Country Club, and Jackson Country Club.

Yoga Background
Kimberly Purnell, Anusara-Inspired, RYT 200, has been an avid student of yoga since 2001. She has studied with John Friend, the founder of Anusara Yoga. Kimberly has also enjoyed studying under other great Anusara instructors, Desiree Rumbough, Martin and Jordan Kirk, Betsey Downing, Bruce Bowditch, Jordan Bloom, and Noah Maze.

Originally led to yoga in 2001 by the need of therapy after sustaining a back injury, she soon realized yoga’s even greater potential to go beyond healing the physical body to healing the emotional and spiritual body.

Experiencing amazing changes in her body, mind, and spirit, Kimberly wanted to help others the way her teachers had helped her, so she offers the gift of yoga.

Kimberly endeavors to inspire all of her students to “go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.”
