Q: What other hobbies do you have aside from yoga practice?
A: I enjoy hiking, playing my new harmonium, cooking with my partner and acrobatics.

Q: What is the title of a book that you have read recently that you could strongly recommend?
A: The Spell of the Sensuous: Perception and Language in a More-Than-Human World by David Abrams This is probably the most influential book that I've read to date. The basic premise is that through written language and the alphabet, we've separated our experience from our senses. Abrams traveled the world visiting shamans and healers of indigenous cultures on nearly every continent. In this book, he presents a wealth of experiential knowledge and essentially reminds us to remain connected to the world we sense and perceive.

Q: What is one of your all-time favorite movies?
A: Dreams by Akira Kurosawa

Q: What is one place that you would like to visit in the world? Why?
A: I would love to go to Africa. Ever since I was a child I've dreamt about riding across the land there.

Q: What's your favorite color?
A: Orange

Q: What award in high school should you have won?
A: Well, I was voted most obnoxious, loudest and most likely to stand out. Looking back it would have been nice to be seen as the most serene, most calm, most grounded. I guess we grow into our element with time.
