Questions and Answers

Q: What other hobbies do you have aside from yoga practice?
A: I love to write. I enjoy Matrka in many forms, including poetry and word puzzles. I love camping, hiking, swimming and snow-shoeing, though I don't do the latter two together. I love my husband and kids, who are my main hobby outside of yoga.

Q: What is the title of a book that you have read recently that you could strongly recommend?
A: Self-Observation, by Redhawk. Crossing the Unknown Sea: Work as a Pilgrimmage of Identity, by David Whyte

Q: What is one of your all-time favorite movies?
A: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. Pride and Prejudice BBC version. Bull Durham.

Q: What is one place that you would like to visit in the world? Why?
A: Chidambaram Temple, India. Since studying with John and Paul Muller-Ortega, the Shaivite tradition has come alive for me. Thai Elephant Conservation Center. My favorite animal is the Asian Elephant.

Q: What's your favorite color?
A: Cerulean Blue

Q: What award in high school should you have won?
A: "The Jeff Spicoli Studentship Award."

Q: What is one of the funniest incidents that occurred in one of your yoga classes?
A: A couple came into my class this summer, having just rolled out of bed. The man, determining that he would be too hot in his sweat pants, removed them and practiced in his gray Calvin Klein briefs. The woman was braless and tousle-haired. They attended only the one time, but ever since then, my good natured regular students referred to our half-clad guests as "Adam and Eve."
