Professional Background
My education is in preschool and elementary education, although I spent 30 years developing and managing an equestrian center and B & B in MD.
Yoga Background
My yoga training began in 1990 with Suzie Hurley who taught a wonderful meditative class in our B & B for 6 years. During that period I also engaged in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy as a client with Suzie. After moving to MT in 1998 we started a yoga group here and eventually to deepen my own practise I began my path of Teacher Training. In 2002 I officially began teaching in the Swan Valley of Montana. In 2003 I expanded class offerings to Seeley Lake as well, a community 30 miles to the South. My practise now includes approximately 35 students. I teach several ten week session and summer sessions on a punch card basis. Drop-ins are always welcome.
Another Anusara teacher and myself collaborate to bring Senior Anusara teachers to this area for workshops every 4-6 months as we develop our Anusara community in Northwestern Montana. In the course of my Anusara studies I have had the privilege of experiencing John`s Therapy Training and Teacher Training, as well as Teacher Training from three other awesome Anusara teachers, Hurley, Downing & Otto. I look forward to more of the same on a continuing basis.
