Professional Background  
I grew up on the east coast in Connecticut. I moved to Southern California when I was in my mid 20's and lived there for twelve years. Now I live in the ski resort of Park City Utah and I love it here ! It is an amazingly beautiful place nestled in the Rocky Mountains. I teach & practice yoga at The Shop Yoga Studio in town. I live with my cat Dharma who is an incredible animal!I have a lot of amazing & colorful friends. Park City has such a wonderful community of people...and yogis! While teaching yoga is my passion, I have worked in finance all my life, mainly for banks and mortgage companies. I am currently employed as a Mortgage Loan Consultant.



Yoga Background  
Mary Allen is an Inspired Anusara Yoga Teacher. For the past 12 years she has studied yoga with Cerified Anusara Instructor David Belz and Anusara Yoga's Founder, John Friend. During this time, Mary traveled the country accumulating over 1500 hours of study with John Friend in Teacher Trainings, Therapeutics, and numerous other workshops. She has been teaching yoga for the past 10 years and offers both public and private sessions.

Q: What other hobbies do you have aside from yoga practice?
A: Skiing, Hiking, Snow Shoeing, anything outdoors - immersed in nature!

Q: What is the title of a book that you have read recently that you could strongly recommend?
A: "Courageous Dreaming" by Alberto Villoldo

Q: What is one of your all-time favorite movies?
A: The Green Mile !

Q: What is one place that you would like to visit in the world? Why?
A: Machu Picchu - What an amazing sacred place!

Q: What's your favorite color?
A: I am drawn to vibrant colors ! Red, Yellow, Orange ... It is hard to pick just one ! ... I love anything that Sparkles !

Q: What award in high school should you have won?
A: Let's go have some FUN !!!

Q: What is one of the funniest incidents that occurred in one of your yoga classes?
A: I stepped on a BEE while I was teaching and it BIT me ! Ouch ! Well... OK ... maybe not so funny ! :
