Celebrating Be Here Now

 

Join John, the Merry Band, and special guest, Ram Dass, for an inspiring and unforgettable weekend of celebrating the evolution of modern yoga. This special weekend will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Ram Dass’ spiritual best-seller, Be Here Now.


John will be presenting two levels in this Weekend Workshop, a Mixed Level and an Intermediate/Advanced Level class daily. Both levels will gather each afternoon for an auspicious satsang with John Friend and Ram Dass to discuss Be Here Now and yoga in the 21st century.

 

The Weekend Workshop is considered to be a complete experience in itself. All the asana classes are progressive and build upon each other. Each class will go deeper into the Universal Principles of Alignment™. Furthermore, the group will join collectively to hear stories and share in question and answer sessions with John and Ram Dass. Please bring a sticky mat, a blanket, and any other props you may need to use during the workshop such as a block, strap, or extra blankets.

No audio or video recording will be allowed during this event.



Sessions:

Mixed Level
Suitable for all levels, with or without Anusara Yoga experience. Introduction to the Universal Principles of Alignment, including Loops and Spirals and concepts such as "flowing with Grace." Will include a wide variety of postures from many different categories of asana.

Cost: $175 USD




Intermediate/Advanced Level
Suitable for experienced Anusara Yoga students and teachers; physically challenging.

 Prerequisites:

  • One year minimum of regular Anusara Yoga studies with a good working knowledge of the Universal Principles of Alignment™.
  • Must be able to do both handstand at the wall and Urdhva Dhanurasana with straight arms without assistance.
  • No major physical limitations or injuries.
