The Creative Power of the Goddess

 

This year’s Anusara yoga annual Advanced Intensive with John Friend will focus on Shakti in all of Her forms of the Goddess. In Shiva-Shakti Tantra, the foundational philosophy of Anusara yoga, Shakti at Her Absolute essence is the rocking, throbbing creative force of the One. In Her relative forms as the manifested universe, She is every part of the cycle of time and all shapes and colors of the fabric of space. Her main forms in this world are represented by the triad of Goddesses: Saraswati, Lakshmi, Kali. Each day of this 3-Day Advanced Intensive will be dedicated to one of these Goddesses, and the universal creative power and beauty that she embodies.

 

Prerequisites:

• Advanced asana practice (familiar with poses in 2nd and 3rd Anusara Yoga Syllabus).
• Three years of Anusara Yoga studies.
• A regular sitting meditation practice is strongly recommended.
